Jamal ad-Din Al-Afghani was born in Asadabad, Kabul, Afghanistan. Afghani
was the greatest contributor, significant thinker of 19th Century, prodigy
(photographic memory). At age 18 he proved his sharp intellects in
jurisprudence, theology, philosophy metaphysics, mathematics, sciences, mysticism, and astronomy. In addition to his
native languages he was fluent in Arabic, Turkish, Russian, French and many
more.
He raised his voice against barbarism, and awakened the youth and
inspired everyone with His impressive, super-magical speeches and with his
versatile knowledge. His reforms, movements were not confined
to a specific nation, but he envisioned reuniting the entire Muslim states to
one empire. He fascinated Muslims to be united and
minimize influence of western imperialism on Muslim nations, the volumes of
newspaper, journals, critical dialogues written by al-Afghani was the reasons for
revolutions in Iran, Egypt, and Turkey.
He influenced Muslims towards modernism reciprocally Islamic leanings
to compete western nations (Islamic-modernism). He was the founder of social,
political activism, humanism of 19th century who sacrificed his life for
permeating peace, rights of subjugated Muslims by wrecked rulers who were
self-gratified and vicious.
Students of Al-Afghani were the prime ministers, reformers,
revolutionary Icons, politicians, anthropologists, sociologists, bureaucrats,
and legislative authorities who impacted the lives of multitude, including
them Muhammad Abduh, Adeeb Ishaaq and Saad Zaghlol.etc.
AL-Afghani was prisoned and later on poisoned by Turkish emperor and
died in turkey and buried there. After 40 years as per request of afghan Ruler
Ghazi Amaanullah Khan reburied him in Afghanistan at Kabul University.
every decade needs a legendary like him to awaken Muslims and remind their actual path!!!
